This international prize aims to highlight completed landscape projects and to promote the quality of forest and urban green spaces. This annual prize is organised for the sixth time and, for the fourth time, in collaboration with the International Union of Architects - UIA.
THREE TYPES OF PROJECTS
Completed projects will be submitted in one of the three following sections:
. Landscape design in transformation of the territory: restoration, renewal and recovery.
. Urban green spaces: squares, neighbourhood green spaces, urban parks.
. Private gardens and parks in cities and suburbs
PARTICIPATION
The prize is open to architects and professionals involved in landscape and environment
projects and registered by the professional bodies in their countries. Projects that have
already won other prizes are not eligible.
There is no entry fee. Registration takes place at the time documentation is submitted.
Entries must be sent to the organisers by post or express courier or delivered directly by
hand no later than Friday 7 March 2008. Entries sent by post or express courier must
reach the organisers by 17 March 2008 at the latest.
JURY
The international jury will be composed of professionals appointed by the following
organisations:
The International Union of Architects (UIA); the International Federation of Landscape
Architects (IFLA); the European Foundation of Landscape Architects (EFLA);
the European Federation for Landscape Architecture (FEAP); the Italian National Council of
Architects, Planners, Conservators, Landscape Architects (CNAPPC); the Council of the
National Order of Italian Agronomists and Foresters (CONAF); the Italian Association for
Landscape Architecture (AIAPP), as well as a representative of the editors of the periodical
"Torsanlorenzo Informa" and Mario Margheriti, of Torsanlorenzo Gruppo Florovivaistico
Soc. Coop.Agr. The jury will meet on 28 March 2008.
PRIZES
Two prizes will be awarded in each of the three sections: the first 2 500 euro; the second
1000 euro. An official awards ceremony will be held on 3 May 2008..
